University president is out for stifling student and faculty free speech

The president of Haskell Indian Nations University was removed from his post after an investigation revealed that he had been stifling the free speech rights of students and faculty.

The Poynter Institute reported on the situation last October, saying that the president ordered a student journalist not to contact police or other government agencies, essentially saying he could not do his job as a journalist.
